ISO 17020 accreditation re-confirmed after UKAS surveillance visit.

Global Environmental are pleased to announce our successful reassessment of accreditation against ISO 17020, the standard for quality management systems for inspection bodies, following an audit by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in October 2018.

The audit, carried out on an annual basis involves a thorough and independent review of the company’s systems and capabilities by UKAS.

Global Environmental’s Managing Director, Fergus McCloskey commented:

“The UKAS badge provides clients with reassurance that we have the skills, knowledge, experience and management systems in place to deliver technically competent surveys and advice on a consistent basis. Almost all of our clients now expect or require us to demonstrate accreditation against ISO 17020 which is the benchmark for competence in the asbestos surveying sector.”

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
