In August 2018 Aimee Owers joined Global Environmental’s field asbestos survey team after spending 2 years at Ensafe Consultants.
Tell us more about your previous experience before joining us?
I joined my previous company as a trainee asbestos surveyor and in the two years whilst there I successfully achieved the following certificates for P402, Confined spaces, IPAF, CSCS skilled worker and I am also certified for HS2 Safe at Heart.
What does your typical day entail?
My typical day entails travelling to all different types of sites whether it be a domestic or commercial site and inspecting various asbestos containing materials.
At the moment I am London-based and I really like being on the road and seeing new places.
What made you choose to progress your career in asbestos surveying?
I came across the role purely by chance but was intrigued to apply for the role, start my training and have never looked back. I really enjoy the diversity of the role and where it may take me from one day to the next, whether I am surveying external areas of a property or within the property in kitchens and bathrooms etc.
I am looking forward to the new projects that this new role will bring and progressing further within Global Environmental.
