Making networking work

Earlier this year, Global Environmental invited over 80 people from across the construction industry to their fifth annual networking event.

Attendees at the event, held in the basement bar of the Kings Arms in Bishopsgate, included representatives from CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, DBK, Gardiner & Theobald, Interserve, ISG, Keepmoat, Kier Group, Leslie Clark Construction Consultants. Morgan Sindall, Quantem Consulting, Stace and Trident among others.

As in previous years the evening started with networking and complimentary food and drink before kick-off of the Madrid Derby in the Champion’s League Semi-Final . The business card draw rounded off the evening and was won this year by Peter Taylor of Leslie Clark Construction Consultants who received a £250 Ticketmaster gift card.

Commenting on the evening, Fergus McCloskey, Managing Director of Global Environmental said, “This event is beginning to earn a reputation as being an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded peers in an informal setting with sport providing the ice breaker to enjoyable networking. I saw plenty of introductions being made and business cards being swapped as well as colleagues enjoying a night out together”.
